I've been listening to my discman a lot on my vacation and I was wondering if anyone knows a site that lists the dB of the different volumes. The wires of my remote control were broken so I can only use the assigned volumes but if I put it at lowest volume it still gives a lot more sound than my brother's or sister's (my brother has a % control and my sisters have 3 subniveaus between one full point of volume) so I was wondering if it would be really bad for my ears or if it's just that the ear is being closed of properly so I hear less outside sounds. There's only a small warning on the back that using it at full volume is bad (max volume is 30 and I put it at lowest which is 2) but if I listen for some time, like anywhere between 2 to 10 hours (the journey) my ears start to hurt after some time. I know it's probably because it's children of bodom and they're like continously throwing all they can at my ears but other bands cause it too only I can listen longer before it happens. I don't have a dB meter at home and school doesn't start before half next week so I can't try there.
