OK, i have unbearable sunburn itch and just wanted to know if you guys had any remedies.
|
Get some aloe gel or a good body lotion. It helps alot with the itchy dry skin.

Aloe Vera gel or Green Stuff (one product name). When I got nastily burnt down in Alabama this summer, I slathered it on every morning, noon, and night (and whenever my skin felt dry) for three days. I had minimal peeling afterwards, and was back to "normal" in about 4-5 days.
Also, take some pain relievers for the actual pain. Helps a bit, especially at night. |
i've tried everything in the house, which includes aloe gel, lidocaine spray, vinegar, and an icebath.

The best treatment is drinking plenty of water to prevent dehydration, and soaking in a tub of COOL water with baking soda in it. As Bungleau says, iburofen or naproxyn also help.

Sprinkle some salt on it...

noxema works too, it cools the skin, and keeps it clean

I had a mild sunburn last week, and cold water + aloe vera cream did the trick. For a really bad burn, you just have to gut it out and take what steps you can (hopefully involving some SPF 45 the next time you're out in the sun).
Some discomfort is inevitable, but pain relievers will block the worst of that. |
Did you learn anything? :D ;) :D
