Although i havent tried killing her in the beginning yet but i think that'd work too!

Don't kill her until after she has turned you into a drow at least. You can get to the door on your own by going through the Kao dungeon.

On Torms name! Why would you want to kill her?!? Are you playing an evil character... and if you are why have you bothered going so far in the quest?...

She says if you try to escape the drow disguis will wear off.

I believe if you play an evil cah, the matron mother Ardulace will ask you to destroy Adalon, but I'm not certain.

I know, the disgue will wear off if you leave. But you can finish the drow quests and drop the eggs or have them tainted. Then you only have to kill Adlon and make your way to the Kao dungeon to get out if you want to.
