Hi people,

I recently tried to install the Weimer-Item Upgrade Mod as well as the Weimer-Valen mod but I've run into problems and maybe someone can tell me what's going wrong.

I've tried it both times with and without the Throne of Bhaal expansion installed.

The mods were unzipped into the main SOA directory, not the "Override folder". When I run the respective Setup programs they either crash after saying the .TP2 file is not found or it can't parse it (but it is in that SOA directory) or it crashes directly after I choose English option "0".

Any suggestions? I did not install the latest Baldurdash Fixpak as it said install the mods first before installing this.

BTW - I've reinstalled BG2 and TOB several times and then tried installing the mods and they still don't want to install.

Thanks.

Check if .tp2 file is Read-Only.
The files may be corrupted, download them again if it is not a problem.
If this don't help (and it probably won't ), contact programer(s) of the mod.

Thanks - didn't think to check for 'Read Only' status. Have redownloaded and will try again tonight.

You must also unzip with "use folder names" or "recursive" or an option that sounds like that. If you simply drag everything out to your SOA folder, it won't work.

Thanks all - will try that too.

Since I love tinkering with ShadowKeeper, what I really would like to do is replace Bodhi's portrait with one I downloaded. However when I look in the creature index there are at least 8 files that could pertain to her. Has anyone successfully managed to override the default portrait of a NPC (not a party member)?

<font color="lightblue">Use Near Infinity or Infinity Engine Editor Pro, both downloadable from TeamBG, to figure out which creature file has the creatures name as "Bodhi". Use whatever method you edit creature files with to replace the small portrait of ALL creatures with name "Bodhi". Remember that there WILL be more than one, as she has atleast two forms- one has an attribute minimum HP=x , the other having x equals zero, and thus minimum hit points equals zero... in other words, one form that CAN`T be killed (when you fight her in the Shadow Thieves quest, and she runs off after the dialogue), and one which CAN be killed (the mandatory fight in Chapter 6). </font>

Darn! Thought this would be an easy thing to do. Now I have to learn a programming language? Too much work. Basically all I wanted to do was change the portrait that appears whenever she has dialogue.

Name the file NBODHIS.BMP and put it in your Override folder. It should work, but I haven't experimented with portraits so far.
Download Infinity Explorer v0.75 (from Ironworks) and browse through BMP Graphics. There are names for portrait files of every portrait in the game.

Thanks - will do the .bmp override thing. Like I said, found a great one of a sexy vamp with a little blood smear which is better than the one we're given in the game.
