I have been trying to get to the cheats console. When I hit ctrl-tab all it does is to indicate hit points of each character. Could someone please help me with this. TIA

First you need to edit baldur.ini - see the ironworks BG2 cheats page for more details. Then you can bring up the console with CTRL + SPACE and then you type in cheat codes.

On the codes - every symbol in the code *must* be right - you have to have all the punctations, parentheses (brackets) and capitalisation right.

First you will need to edit the *.ini file by typing the following line EXACTLY AS YOU SEE IT under [Program Options]:

Debug Mode=1

Watch out of the caps and spaces!

Then in game, hit Ctrl-Space to bring up the console.

The various codes, etc must be typed exactly as written, (caps, spaces, etc) or it wouldn't work. For instance, to get the cheat keys to work, type in

CLUAConsole:EnableCheatKeys()

There are plenty of other codes.
