How much resist is a good resist? Last two night I went to BRD and got my arse whooped by those blasted fire elementals. Yesterday I went to scholo and got my butt kick by those blasted poisons. Hours later I went to Silithus and got my head rolled when one of the twilight shot me with magics for 3 hits.

My current resist for all is 0 except for nature resist which is 10 (NE trait). So how much resist do i need?

You play a hunter, don't you?

Until you start raiding resists mean very little. BRD is farmed for resists -- Incendius for instance drops a fire resist item (usually bracers) just about every time you kill him.

Scholo though is not worth using resists it. The nature resist you need vs. poison and the frost and shadow resist you need vs. undead isn't really available without getting really high cenarion rep and crafting your items -- or doing AQ40 or BWL or Naxx.

You just need better strats and more practice I would guess. Take a druid to scholo and yell at them when your poison isn't getting cured.

If you really wanna see what kind of difference a high resistance makes buy a few nature protection potions, shadow protection potions, or fire protection potions -- those are relied on by raiders to supplement resists anyway.

As for what's good if you check my link you'll see my Fire Resist set. It's good enough for a caster. As a rogue you probably want a bit better. -- Upwards of 150-200 if you're gonna stand toe-to-toe with Ragnaros and upwards of 250-300 if you're gonna try meleeing firemaw.

I've started to learn to back off when the monster start to aoe and let the tanks soak up the damage. But sometimes it happens just so fast and hard to notice during the heat of the fight.

150 - 200? that's a lot. Looks looks like i got to start saving on those resist gears instead of sharding them. LOL
