There is one quest in Amn where you have to get some metal for this artist, eventually yo will fight a guy calld Neb in the Bridge district, for some reason I still had "Nebs Nasty Cutter" in the underdark and could sell it to the dwarves for over 3,500,000. Anyone else know about this.

I heard the same thing, but about merchant in Trademeet. I checked with all of them, but nothing. Price is always 2500 or something. Perhaps patches I have...
