Hi all, I just baught the game and am unable to connect, is the server down? Ive disabled my firewall and have all the current updates for windows xp, also Im using road runner broadband.

You playing in the EU or USA servers?
If its EU make sure to not choose a realm that says Full by the name, it leads to huge queue, leg , disconnects etc. and also expect the login server to be down a fair bit, its always down at least once or twice a day.

No, I cant even get that far, right after i type my account info in, it says connecting or whatever for about 1 second, then says unable to connect, then it geves me the option for help or okay. I went to the help page and tried all the stuff but none of it seemed to work.

Has your account been verified and paid for?

Depending on payment type you may get a wait, I think.

Check on www.worldofwarcraft.com (or www.wow-europe.com if you are EU) and look at Troubleshooting/Technical Issues.

Check you firewalls. Both your internal and external ones. Disable them and try again.

Ive done all that, my account has been verified, i sent blizzard an email explaining the problem and the results from my traceroute so hopefully they can help me with it. If not they can go f themselves, although il prolly stil play the rest of their games.
