So I want to do research on the D&D Gods and Goddesses, anyone know of any great websites with good details and decent reading size?
Also, if anyone wants to donate any info on a diety because they're so super-nice and cool, that'll rule! |
heres quite a good one http://tiras.tripod.com/deity042.html lots of gods to choose from, although this is a first edition AD&D page but still lists most of the major AD&D gods

You could also check out http://www.zoethout.net/frdownloads.html
The Forgotten Realms section contains some official and some unofficial material about the various pantheons. |
Thanks all!

Another one:
http://www.geocities.com/rtrmdnd/gods.html It tells you the god's allies & enemies, their symbol....but not their gender. Ooops. |
Finally, someone has given good links to a good site, been looking for these for awhile, thanx Jerr, cuz i've been away on vacation, just got back today.

Thanks all! This will really help with the Thief Mods and their chosen gods/godesses.

You can also pick up "Faiths and Pantheons" which is an expansion to the guide to the FR... at a steep price of about forty dollars. Personally I think it's insane, and some of the drawings of the gods were so horrible they made me blush with shame... I'm thinking particularly of the outrageously cartoonish, sketchy Seldarine depictions.. BUT at least it's thorough. The deities mentioned in the main guide (The major ones.. Helm, Tymora, Mystra, Shar, Lloth, et cetera) are really expanded and have info on avatars, items, stats, and all that, while minor deities (The ones listed but not covered) have short descriptions. All have pictures of holy symbols. All in all it's good... except for the price tag.
I myself have always been partial to Mask. Who says thieves have to be dour? |
