kk

I'm a level 13 undead warlock and I'm looking for good long-term ideas for using my talents and specialties.

Regarding talents, I have tailoring and enchantment. Enchantment is impossible to use so far, because I can't find strange dust. Need help there. Tailoring is coming along, but I'm wondering what are good things to tailor. I make things a lot and just sell them to merchants -- good idea?

Regarding my character focus, I am wondering what some opinions are about the differeing upgrades in Affliction, Daemonology, and... um... forget the name, but call it "spell-shootiness" for now.

Ok, for proffessions, enchanting WILL make you money with a creation prof. Once you start making greens, either sell them at the AH or to player, or disenchant them and sell/use the reagents.

Tailoring gets better later on, but most people say the high end tailoring items are crap (aside from the bags). But that is what people say, it is really your preference. Enchanting will be more difficult to level up, but once you start getting the green options for tailoring, enchanting is easy as goblin pie.

Other than that, herbalism/alchemy is very nice.

Skinning/Mining/Herbalism will ALL make you money with nearly no touble or money lost, I recommend those for a main, with your alts being "alt bots".

Well hopefully he is more attracted to the art of crafting more than making money.
Just for pure enjoyment, I recommend a gathering/crafting set of professions, so you can enjoy goods. Then make your alt a cash man or whatever you want.

TL use your tailoring to make green items then disenchant them. Theres your dust

I was reading up on disenchanting, and I'm not sure I understand how to do it. How do I know I can disenchant an item, what does it become, etc?

You have an ability called disenchant or whatever it is (I think you need rods to enchant/disenchant). Only items of good quality or better can be disenchanted (meaning that the text name of the item must be green, blue, etc). To give some examples

This you can disenchant for materials

But this you cannot

QFT, the only trouble I found when disenchanting is to know when to to either sell or disenchant. Figure that out, you'l be set.

Okay, thanks. I see the "green" now. Now what is an "or better" weapon/item?
