..the broken one that you find after the Searing,,,I've carried it around now for 4 levels(8 to 12),,,does it have a use?
Also,, it's starting to get annoying fighting the low level monsters that you get no XP for...AND now that you need to work in a party, money..while not exactly a problem..I feel should be a little easier to come by. Sharing 15 GP with 2-4 party members ain't the way to get rich. Selling treasure doesn't help much more,, because the game world is just CRAMMED with magical waepons. I can almost hear the merchants saying..'A Wand of Fire 6-9 damage with a +20% bonus? The world's loaded with 'em kid! I'll give ya 10GP for it,,take it or scram!' Just my 2 cents(+20% damage..of course) |
I reckon you can put that flute down with the "Tattered girls cape" that you can come by later, as well.
Doesn't look too good for Gwen I reckon... heh. Money CAN be a little bit easier to come by... you can buy 100 plat for $50 US apparently. There is that option, or you can do what my friend did, and wait until you find a superior rune and salvage it WITHOUT identifying it, then get to one of the last areas in the game and sell it to players whom enjoy playing PVP. See, in order to effectively equip characters in PVP with good items (and especially runes) you need to unlock them in Role Playing mode. To unlock an item, you need to "find" it, or "identify" it yourself. Therefore, you cannot successfully unlock a "superior rune of xxx" by buying it. This makes unidentified superior runes VERRRRRY rare. Anyway, back on track, my friend happened across a MONK superior rune. He went to one of the last areas in the game, and sold it for 80 Plat. He single handedly could afford the guild hall for my guild. LOL. So go find yourself one, son ;o) Also - if you come across a NON - minor rune, and you don't want to "unlock" this skill for yourself, try selling it. It would be worth quite a bit more (in theory) than the same rune bought at a rune trader. Wow. That was long. Hope it was helpful. |
At the moment its for a non existant quest. Kind of like the tapestry shread that Gwen give you in pre searing.
I'm betting that we run into her somewhere (probably Underworld) and have the option to give her those items so she remembers us. |

I never got a 'tapestry shread' from Gwen. I gave her the girl's cape(BEFORE it cost 200GP), the flute and a flower. What else did you need to give her to get the tapestry shread? |

A few flowers (more than 1) She will then tell you that you are the nices person she has ever met and will give you her most prized possesion. The Tapestry shred. No one knows its use. BTW the cape is now 0 gold instead of 200. |
TDC - are you sure that the cape is 0 gold now? AFAIK that was a temporary glitch that was rectified in a patch not long ago.

Nick - Yeah, I think the problem has been rectified since. The cape *should* be back at $200. I'll confirm later this evening.

I was in Pre-Searing YESTERDAY (June 29, 2005) with my newest character; and the cape is indeed now 200 gold. Funny thing: This time I gave Gwen lots of flowers (maybe 4 to 6 bunches); but I am pretty sure that I had NOT yet given the flute and DEFINITELY had NOT yet given her the cape, when she said I was her best friend and gave me the tapestry. I bought her a flute and gave it to her, then sprung for the cape and gave her that, too (just in case), just before going to Post-Searing. Now, what do I do with this tapestry shred? It'll be ages before one of my characters makes it to the underworld. ~looks longingly at the Xunlai storage slot that could be used for something else~ Maybe I'll have to make a "mule" character.</font> [ 06-30-2005, 09:22 PM: Message edited by: NobleNick ] |
ManI tell you what little girls capes are now expensive! Why should they be 200 Gold ? Chestplate of Ascalon Armour only costs 150 gold LOL.
As for the tapestry shread it currently has no use. Though I believe that it will be used in conjunction with the broken flute and tattered cape found in Post searing. |
