If you play runescape over the internet let me know what youre person is called and ill ill add it. also tell me what level and you are on. eg:
burnzey boy1 level 44 combat |
Funny you should post this now; I've just got back into it again.
I started my first char about three years ago, called "Ruffkid", level 47 combat or something like that. That's when I left Runescape for a while. A year or so later, decided to get back into it - made "Jaradu"... a total failure, I quit him in about a week. Now I've literally just made a new char yesterday and I've promised myself to stick with him. He's called "Dextrous7". Level 4 combat, but I'm not training in combat yet. Gonna get a few other levels like woodcutting, firemaking, mining, smithing, cooking, up to 20 first. *sigh*... what happened to the good old days where you didn't need a number next to your name? :( |
I'm intrigued by the idea of runescape - had a brief look at the website but am at work. What's it all about? Do you need broadband. How much stuff is there to download? Is it expensive (I'm sure it's effectively necessary to be a member for full enjoyment).
Hope this isn't hi-jacking.. please ignore if it is?! |
When has anyone ever apologised for highjacking round here? Its part of the charm of the place.

Marant:
Runescape is an 3D online RPG where you create a character and build up his stats by gaining experience in many different areas of skill - Combat, cooking, mining, smithing, fishing, crafting, magic, prayer, firemaking, woodcutting, and more! The game is free (although you can pay to become a member, gaining benefits such as access to new areas, skills and quests). You do not need broadband to play (I played it well before I got broadband) and the game still doesn't take too long to long with a modem. I recommend it. :D |

Being a member really isn't necessary to enjoy the game. I'm not a member, but I still find it fun. There are just two or three more towns (there are loads anyway), and some say that the added quests are a bit repetitive. The only thing we're really missing out on are the skills, but you pretty much only need the new skills for the new quests, if you know what I mean.

May give it a go then.

I feel I should warn you about people who buy and sell.
You're taking a nice stroll to a city... let's say, Varrock. You go to the marketplace, which is FILLED with people shouting all over the place, "Type 123 if u wanna buy 1k of coal!!1", "Sellin mith full armor press 999", or "Buyin raw lobsters hit 456" in all sorts of flashing colours... as well as insulting to 'n00bs'. To put it simply, it may be difficult to find 'roleplayers'. But if you just ignore those types of people, you will find that there are some friendly and generous players out there. Less than in other games, but I suppose that's to be expected in a free game. |
just signed up.
