Thanks about helping about that last 'fishy' green tea dilemma I had. Though it had a quite sad ending - I poured some vodka in it, tasted it, experienced a feel of absolute disgust, and threw the stuff away(bye-bye booze *sniff*) - I bought some other sort of green tea, and it tastes great. :D

I've been drinking quite a lot of green tea since then. My sister bought some sort of a green tea book, which wrote of the MANY good effects of green tea.

But then my sister spoke of a problem, which may occur if one drinks too many a cup of it - Addictiveness. Green tea contains lots of caffeine, as does black tea. Caffeine, I've heard, is a drug, capable of causing addiction. She says the book says nothing about that.

I'm sure there's someone knowledgable enough in this forum as to know the answer to that. ;)

Thanks.

Heh, I don't know about that uss. My grandpa drinks that stuff and he's over seventy years old, so I doubt it has too much caffeine.

The most I've heard about green tea is that it makes your hair grow back.

Yes, Green tea has caffeine in it... just as much as black tea or coffee. The varying concentration of caffeine depends on how you brew it, just as it would with black tea.

Green tea (and peppermint tea) is especially good for you if you've eaten greasy food... like most chinese foods are that you get at a restaurant. It's also supposed to help minimize some of the effects of the MSG that is in the chinese food, but that's not been proven.

As with anything in this world, over-indulgence in anything can cause you problems. Everything in moderation and you'll be fine.

All tea is good for you, but sometimes it can also have bad effects.
At least two cups of tea a day is a good way to keep your body healthy, but if you start drinking more then that, then the tea can start to poison your body, and starts to make you ill.
So just be careful with the tea drinking.

I like green tea very much. Only bad thing is it`s strongness.

Ok, so green tea in moderation would be ~2 cups a day, eh? I'll try to make sure I don't drink too much in a day. :D

Thanks!

The addicitveness ain't that bad. I myself am a regular coffee drinker, and I notice that when I cannot drink coffee for 2 days, the third day I just won't wake up and have this slight headache throughout the day but it isn't that bad and it only lasts that one day. So the addiction to caffeine isn't that bad. :D
