Can someone help me before I take a chainsaw a slice my familys laptop into small mulch... it's such a piece of crap that I'm sure the mulch would not function as a regular mulch... would probably do something unmulchy...

anyway, there was some trouble with theinternet connection, it always said that the modem(adsl) reported an error. and since the little crapbox was more infected of viruses (and ad/spy/harmware than) than a craparoo of a portugese whorehouse I reinstalled Windows... and lo and behold it did wonders, the internet worked again and the machine actually seemed like a 800mhz pentium but not an old 286 on a bad day... until about 3 PM today... it started reporting that "lsass.exe" process had been terminated and the computer had to be restarted. This only happens when the internet is connected and oddly enough, if I do a new install in continues to happen.

So does anyone know what the (bleepidy bleep) lsass.exe does and why it would be terminated when the internet is plugged in... it's plugged into an USB port, I tried diffrent ports to no avail.
I have all servicepack installed and Norton Antivirus.

Of course trying to fund a solution to this is a lot simpler when you have the whole family blaming you for what happened and asking every 5 minutes if it is fixed...

God I hate computers...

Okey thanks... found lots of answers in the Google search (don't know why I didn't think to look there first)

It's time to take out the trash...
