I am playing through the game again for the first time in over a year and I can't remember where the hilt to the Vorpal weapon is. I have the blade and am still in the Underdark.

Dude, u get the "hilt" when u get out of the Underdark. Once out there, go to any place in Athkatla and u'll meet some creatures that wants their "sacred" blade, kill them and one of them has the hilt.
