You get cheaper prices in stores and if your rep is low enough people will attack you, like the paladins of the radiant heart and the cowled wizards. if it gets to 0 or 1, everyone in the game is hostile.

It aslo affects your NPC's behavior towards you.
There is a table in your SOA manual that shows at what reputation level a certain NPC's will break with you

Either that, or everyone is dead.

Erm... yeah... *whistles innocently and twiddles his thumbs* http://www.plauder-smilies.de/angel2.gif

Malavon's Rage,

reputation also has important effects if your character is either a paladin or a ranger. If REP drops below a certain point the the character becomes 'fallen' and loses all of his/her special abilities.

I have played an evil party before, for research purposes, and to do the things I never got to do when I play a good party.

Like killing Nalia's aunt!

Some relevant threads I managed to find below. Despite all the naysayers, I managed to complete SoA-ToB with my evil party and accumulated over a million gold pieces, thanks largely to stealing, pickpocketing and reselling of stolen goods. Ahhhh... one of these days I am going to roleplay another evil party.

When being evil goes wrong... ... really wrong... ... for me... ...

Yay! I completed SoA+ToB with an evil party. ~End Game Spoilers~

</font>
Yeah.. Research purposes... It's REALLY fun to play an evil sorc who can cast Fireball, Sunfire, Meteor Swarm and Fiend Summoning spells umpteen times a day! Now THAT'S what I call stress relief!
And if you somehow manage to get bored you can just summon demons and then kill them! Again and again! Hehehehehe.. "But Keldorn, am I not doing good by killing all these demons?"

</font>
Not really, you have to go to Hell to truely kill a demon ;)
Good idea, I'm usually a NG char, and it gets soooo boring...oh well, off I go...Except I got my new blade to play with now...*sigh*. it is fun having a quasit or imp familiar..some of the options..."punch familiar, kick familiar in the head"...heh heh...

Dundee Slaytern 08-03-2002 09:49 PM

The sarcastic Imp familiar was one of the best moments in the game, when I had my Neutral Evil Necromancer. Try petting it. ;)
