Can anyone explain to me what a mod is?

A mod is a modification of a game. One example will be Counterstrike, which is a Half-Life mod. Most BG2 mods however, allow you to continue playing the original game, while adding in new stuff.

ok i only know two meanings for mod,
I) Mod as in short for Moderator a person who looks after the Forums and in ours they kill the trolls, well ban them neways.

II)the second is mod as in modification as in game mods,i.e. for BG2 you can get new items npc's quests etc etc,

oh yeh and dont worry about being a noobie tis all in the learning curve...

TeamBG.com should do the trick if they dont have the sorta mods you want they have links to the baldurdash site (ithink) i cant remember that ones address,

Now, I am not good at remembering URLs, but you can find some mods at TeamBG. ;) There yu can find the biggest of them, while the smaller are spread through the internet.</font>
