In the film, american beauty, who kills kevin spacey, am just watcing it on tv now and i've seen it a few times before. Is it the army guy next door? I get confused about it all. lol, my pointless question [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Yeah, isn't there some thing where the guy next door turns out of be gay or something and can't handle it? It's been a long time since I saw it but that rings a bell ;)

Yeah the army guy thinks Kevin Spacey is gay, and comes onto Kevin Spacey near the end of the film following a traumatic incident with his son. Kevin Spacey rejects him (not actually being gay), and since can't handle the indignation of facing his homosexuality (which he has been indoctrinated his entire life to hate), he panics and shoots Kevin Spacey.

A very odd film :D

Exactly. I believe he shoots him because, as you say he "can't handle the indignation of facing his homosexuality" and panics, but also as he has now played is cards and someone (God forbid) knows that he is gay... and gets rid of the only person who would know.

Interesting movie though.

Oh not much really, just the fact he shoots himself in the head, starts talking like death (which is expected) but then within 30 seconds he's talking fine and walking round. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Yeah, that part just doesn't make much sense at all, seeing as his voice is ruined one moment, and fine the next. Even the audio commentary with Brad Pitt, Edward Norton and David Fincher doesn't explain it. Guess it's just an artistic oversight. Nothing's perfect ;)
