Is the realplayer media application recommended? I heard it gives lots of pop ups, but that the video quality is excellent.

I've been using it for quite a while and haven't noticed any pop-ups

Video quality is quite good for the compression they achieve, however I don't care for proprietary codecs... realmedia is playing the apple game of not playing nice with competition. I typically choose mpeg as my codec of choice, there are a LOT of competing products utilizing it.

I thought this'd be some sort of sordid confessional piece. You should have removed the space between real and player. Damm... *wanders off in search of a life*

LOL Mel! I get the feeling you are a little bored.

Realplayer is spyware, and so is Quicktime. Have that in mind while installing it. However, there is no alternative to it. The klm codec pack includes the real and quicktime codecs though (not the players). The quicktime codecs work for me. I haven't tried the realcodecs yet. Don't expect the same quality if you install these though.

Err yeah... Willow how could you tell? ;)
Sorry - normally I'm a well-behaved model poster but every now and then I get these bouts of recalcitrant boredom that make me say stuff that'd normally make me cringe. ;)
And Johnny, I know you well enough to know you don't need me to tell you that.
