I'm thinking about getting the emachines widescreen laptop. 1) Does anyone have experience with how IWDII and Baldur's Gate II perform on widescreens? I like to play using the full screen -- can the game work with that? 2) Does anyone have experience with the emachine's laptops relative to those games (I'm looking at the low end one -- 5309 or something)?

I have played both those games on an emachines 15.4'' widescreen laptop, but both in window mode, so that the games are unaffected. If you were to play fullscreen, I imagine the pixels would be stretched out horizontally, making the games look horrible. So my advice is just to stick with playing in an 800x600 window.
