A Texan farmer goes to Australia for a vacation. There, he meets an Aussie farmer and gets talking. The Aussie shows off his big wheat field and the Texan says, "Oh! We have wheat fields that are at least twice as large. Then they walk around the station a little, and the Aussie shows off his herd of cattle. The Texan immediately says, "We have longhorns that are at least twice as large as your cows". The conversation has, meanwhile, almost died when the Texan sees a herd of kangaroos hopping through the field. He asks, "And what are those?" The Aussie replies with an incredulous look, "Don't you have any grasshoppers in Texas?"

The thing is though, after living over here in England for years, a lot of Poms think we spend most of our time fighting of poisoness snakes and spiders and maneating Croc's and Sharks. So they are easily led! Not that I do this to our english cousins of course! Well.......perhaps a little. |
I remember me and my mates taking a group of my brothers friends out "Dropbear hunting", gave them nets and led them out into the middle of nowhere... came back the next day and they were scared out o ftheir wits :D

Nice one! :D
The thing that was so funny about the missus saying that at that particular time was that it was at least 3 years since I'd told her of the infamous "drop bears" and it had never been mentioned since then! I had to stop the car. She thought I was choking or something. :D I'd told her that they lurked in trees by the side of the road, and that as you drove past, they leapt from the trees and ripped your tyres off as you were driving along! :D |
