Sadness fills my life. My laptop, a Dell Latitude CPxJ650, has gone on the blink. Literally. The LCD screen is dying, and as such, it no longer projects the beautiful images that it once did. Irritatingly, the warranty and the tech support ended last July, so I'm up the river without a boat. Now, frankly, I'm not a really tech-y guy. I play games on my computer. I write essays, and I burn CD's of photos and videos from my friends' digital camera. Thats about it. But it gets kind of difficult to do that without a screen. So now, I have to go purchase some cheap clunky monitor to keep in my room, so that I can make my laptop useful again. It's kind of a bum deal, cause for the cost of a new LCD screen, I can pretty much buy a new computer. *sigh*.

It's just been one of those days.

That's too bad, ryaldin. :( I don't have an lcd but a friend does and I can imagine how hard it is to go back to the old monitors after one of those! Hope you find something you can afford that isn't too hard to look at!

The nightmare of all laptop owners. Sorry, dude. I feel your pain. :(

It would be ideal...if it wern't for the fact that I'd have to try and take it home with me...to Montana...from Ireland. Frankly, I've got enough to deal with just dragging a 4 foot duffel bag full of clothes, toiletries, paperwork and supplies for my studies at the university, much less a desktop. That's the only reason I even bother having a computer, is because my nice little latitude was so easy to carry around (okay, okay, it's not a brand new top of the line i-mac or whatever that ways 0.0003 pounds, but it's relatively light) and then I'd still having minor gaming capacity remaining (bgII is pretty much the acceptable limit. Maybe WCIII). Now I need to go find me a £5 monitor, y'know, something I won't mind throwing into the trash at the end of the semester.
