Ok, I have an NVidia 32meg card. It has been installed before, so I know it works on my com. I had to system restore a while back for reasons that are fixed now. The problem is, I cant figure out how to put the card back to working order. The tech who came to my house to fix the problem with my processor fan, told me how to install the g. card, but it does not work. What I need is simple step by step install instructions. I have windows XP. Thank you.

P.S. There is the on board 32megs of dedicated memory for graphics, witch I apparantly need to unistall first...?

Plug the card in, reinstall windows, install drivers. I don't think you have to do anything with the dedicated memory.

You might have to disable the dedicated card in BIOS, but if you just did a system restore the BIOS should be as it was before the restore.

Set the BIOS to autodetect if it's locked on the card.
