I've been looking at a new mouse pad, and come across the IcePad and the SteelPad, has anyone got/used either of these? Which one is the best as they seem to cost about the same.
Cheers

Well.. I just buy one with a nice picture on it. Currently it's one with waves on it, and it's been working fine for me.

Does it matter anyway?

the Icepad is supposed to make it much easier to move your mouse, personally at £30 (last time I checked) Id say its far too expensive for basically doing nothing, I havent actually tried it though, so I couldnt tell you if it made a dramatic difference or not, I wouldnt think so however.

Go Optical Mice! :D No need for a mat, just a smooth surface...plus they won't cost more than £30 I'd say...

Hey I have a normal mouse and no mouse mat! Works for me just dandy

I use a Logitech DualOptical (with glidetapes on it) on a normal textile-surfaced mouse mat. Work really good, even with first person shooters.
