Someone suggested the Delete key on another topic but that didn't work or am I doing it wrong. Thanks for any help.

When your computer starts, under the tests, it says something like 'press ... to go to SETUP'. That's the key you want

Try F1 (it depends which BIOS you have).
|
try all the F keys
sometimes it can be F6 F8 F10 also try ctrl-s |
It might be Escape as well.
Once I found a peculiar bios which needed nothing less than <Ctrl><Alt><S'> In short, try pressing every single button on your keyboard! Edit: you don't want to leave a <s'> tag lying around unclosed :D [ 12-15-2003, 12:23 PM: Message edited by: B_part ] |
Delete-trust me. It`s always the red button. :D

Every button? Hee Hee! :D Thanks for the advice everyone. I had also tried holding the CTRL key. Don't! It disables the keyboard for my system. BTW I have WinXP. I know for sure F2 is Setup, F8 gives me a boot option menu, and F5 takes me to a Safe Mode options menu. LOL there's only a very small timing windo to enter the right key. Maybe I can adjust that too while I'm in there. Thanks again everyone. :D

F12 on my Dell... and most Dells. Don't change anything you're unsure about though - I found nothing of use in my Bios concerning my video card problem at the time so, I left it alone.
