"Bazooka" comes from an insturment used by Bob Burns, who was a popular radio personality in the 30's and 40's. However, a bazooka is an american weapon, I can't recall any times when I've seen the term applied to a Soviet RPG.

Erm... I don't see the word "bazooka" used anywhere on those sites...? And I fail to see the connection with cartoon characters, but I suppose alcohol was involved when you wrote all of that down.
