In your country on what day do you give presents for christmas?
In Hungary it is on the night of the 24th, but I know that it is different in other countries. |
deends on who we are seeing on what day we give ours, my family does it on the morning of the 25th, but my husbands does it a few days before
|
In Autralia it is either late on the 24th through to the 27th ...ish
|
in britain its the 25th
|
It's whenever I see the people that I have bought gifts for! So not always the 25th which is the traditional day here. For example my parents celebrate the Solstice rather than Christmas, so I don't necessarily see them on Christmas Day.
|
In Norway we give them on the 24th after the dinner at 6 in the eavning.

We always have the gift exchange the night of the 24th. Too many things are happening on the 25th, such as preparing dinner, for it to be feasible to exchange at that time. Also, everyone gets a new set of PJ's to sleep in that night.

We've always opened ours on the morning of the 25th. When my brother and I were little, we'd do it before breakfast, now we wait till after. But as Leonis said, I don't know if there's any 'traditional' time for Australians to open their pressies - being a young country with a huge range of nationalities, people from different regions bring their own traditions

We do it on 24th after dinner usually.

Well, quite hectic here. X-mass is the 25th. We do my parents on the eve, my in-laws on the day. Lots to do in 2 days! ;)
