Gwah hahah! Lord of the Rings! 'Tis a great day for NZ!

I've noticed that the line of entertainment goes like this; Book, movie, game.
It always happens. But there's something people shpuld know.

Before the actual Lord Of The Rings Xbox and PS2 game was released, a game for the Lord of the Rings was released on the ZNES emulator. Okay, yes, admittedly it sucked. The graphics sucked, the music was a eensy bit better, but you couldn't enter any of the houses. All in all, suckage.

I wonder how many games have shared this paticular fate?

Know of the snes game. If it was made after the movie-cartoon hybrid LotR movie, they probably had to make it suck, so that people that liked the movie wouldn't be dissapointed. Know that there was a couple'a PC games released long ago as well (borrowed one of'em long, long time ago... all I remember of it is that I couldn't get it to work for more than a few secconds)... and I think there was a text adventure The Hobbit-game... and I think I know of one or two other PC games (don't remember the names, or much about'em, think they were RPGs)... and there's a bunch'a roguelikes that are more or less based on Tolkien's stuff.

Amen. But I'd have to say that there are plenty of games that "suck" out there, even among the new ones. And some of the older ones are still better than a number of the newer ones out there. But overall, I'd prefer BG2 to Pong anyday. ;)
