I've got a problem with my internet.

I can view web pages but whenever I go to a page I can't see any of the graphics on them. I just get the little whitte square with a read cross in it wherever a picture or banner should be.

If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this please let me know.

do you have a fire wall? if so, check the settings, cuz like zonealarm pro has a setting to block flash and graphics, I found this out recently, on here, because I was having the same problems

I'm not sure if I have Firewalls. I'm on my home PC with the standard IE installed (5.5 I think). It was working fine up until earlier when I got some popups and now it's broke.

ahh then run spybot and adware

Go to the tools button and check to see if you have IE set to not download pictures. You find under the options menu (I think)

OK, I've run Spyware and it hasn't fixed the problem. I've also checked the "show pictures" option and its correct. Anymore suggestions or am I well and truly stuffed :( ?

the only other thing I can suggest is to do an update on the IE, matbe when andrewas gets here, he can give a better idea on what to do, but I do not know

Does this occur on every site you visit? Here on IW too? If so, and you have checked "Show Images" or whatever in your Internet Options, then you probably have a firewall running that is filtering out the images. The two I know that do that are Norton and Zonealarm.

To rule out any IE setting issues, reset IE to its defaults. To do that, go to... hold on, I'm checking... Tools, Internet Options, Security, Default Level. And then check the Advanced tab for the image display stuff there.
