I want to buy someone a can opener that's good if you have arthritis for Christmas. I looked online this morning and found a few that claimed to be good. Does anyone have any experience with this that can give me some advice on which of these is better, or if there's another brand or model that is more effective? I don't want an electric one.

One is the Swing Away Can Opener with Ergonomic Handle, the other is the GOOD GRIPS Snap-Lock Can Opener.

I don't know anything about the two products you mentioned. Perhaps you could ask at the rehab ward in your local hospital? I'm sure they have some excellent advice to give. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Im not sure what Arthritis is, so im not gonna give any smart advice...

well, the arthritus that i know about is where the stuff between your bones to stop them rubbing together has worn away, making it painful to move joints.....most people i know with it have it in there hands....

Willow, I don't want an electric one because the person I'm buying it for doesn't want an electric can opener. The other day she was having trouble opening a can and I said 'you should get an electric opener', and she said 'no I don't want an electric one'.
