Ok, I do know it has 800MB FSB and it allows processors to work faster but is it THAT much faster? Or is it a load of hype?
And, If my mobo has 6-channel Audio built in, do I really need SB Live! or Audigy/Audigy2?

Thanks in advance.

HT lets a processor act as if it were two processors, which allows certain types of programs to run slightly faster. For single-threaded applications however (and this includes most if not all games) it actualy results in a slight performance hit as the CPU is emulating a second processor which isnt doing anything.

Compare the specs of the mobo's soundcard and the audigy2 card. I believe Audigy2 is waaay better. And a must for music-making.
