Just a quick question guys. I've managed to get a hold of a copy of windows XP. After musing it over, I'm not sure whether to install it. I currently have windows ME and wanted to ask you guys whether its worth installing XP.

I have:

866mhz Pentium Processor III
320mb Ram

So, What should i do?

I would choose xp over me. Me has bugs doesnt it?

Go for XP, but *first* make sure that your peripherals and such have drivers for winXP. Most should, but some cheap crap dosen't.

Oh yes ME has bugs everywhere. Mainly i was just wondering if my computer can handle XP.

Why don't you go to Amazon.com and look at the system requirements they have listed there?

Or you can always dual-boot for Me/XP but it is a little tricky to do so. I am currently running a dual-boot 98SE/XP Pro.

Well, XP is a VERY stable system compared to W98/95 or the dreaded ME. But it does need high specs...

Your PC is very much capable of running XP. A CPU is always a great idea, but I'm guessing that you would also need a new mobo for that, so maybe later. But memory, memory is cheap and helps a bunch! Try to get your hands on another 128 or preferably 256 stick. Go for it!
