Hmmm... Are you sure it was the Camera specifically, or perhaps a mess of latent problems and the camera was just the final straw?

P.S. Stormy I resent that sexist comment. "Grrrr" It's ok. I know you were just generalizing. No hard feelings.

it was a joke but it is the drivers, although it claims tp be xp approved, it crashes, I tried it again, after doing a restore, and my computer just shut itself down, instead of allowing the instal :/

Hmmm... in that case contact the makers of the camera. If they can't get it to work, sue them for false advertising and walk away with a hefty sum :D .

going to tomorrow, at least I can get the pics to download it does not require a driver, it just instals a new drive, lol. called e:

It said it was xp approved. Did it mean the drivers or the cam? I've never installed a web cam but maybe winXP already has (default) drivers for it. I'm just thinking maybe the drivers somehow conflict with (confuse) the drivers winXP already has. I know my DSL modem wouldn't work in winXP if I installed the drivers that came on the CD with it. I guess what I'm asking is does it work without installing drivers?

nope, I thought it was that too, but it does not have any drivers for this brand at all, that is the problem I had with the old cam, lost the disk, and now the drivers will not install on it, oh well, I will just get ahold of the company tomorrow, it was worth a shot here first, before dealing with idiots

Sounds good Stormy - I only wish I had the cash to buy one but I'm afraid a new cameral is way down on my list of priorities at the moment.
