I downloaded a movie. There is a freestyler in it showing off his moves but the file...

There are two files:
56k.ram
128k.ram

I tried to open it with WMP(Windows Media Player) but i cannot.

Any tips?

Maybe you just need to update your mediaplayer.

Yes good idea. I will try it.

IIRC ram is Real Audi Media file. You need RealPlayer to play it. Just do a search for that and download it, it's free.

Don't expect too much of any of the .r(a)m and .ra-extensions quality-wise, as they're mostly used to present certain media-files as quick downloads rather than as a fair representation of the actual quality of the original movie or audio-file.

if those dont work, try this:
http://www.virtualdub.org/

its an editor, but often times i use it to run vids that wmp rejects.

Download DivX, works well at playing movies at any size.

Eh? DivX is a codec for compressing video files? DivX player is for playing DivX movies and it CAN play other file types but only if the relevant decompressor codec is installed. I think RAM is proprietory so he still needs RealPlayer.

Erm... As far as I know, neither of those two actually gives you the opportunity to play real media-files.
