<font color="cc0099">There were two men trying to decide what to do for a living. They went to see a counselor, and he decided that they had good problem solving skills. He tried a test to narrow the area of specialty. He put each man in a roomwith a stove, a table, and a pot of water on the table. He said "Boil thewater". Both men moved the pot from the table to the stove and turned on theburner to boil the water. Next, he put them into a room with a stove, a table, and a pot of water on the floor. Again, he said "Boil the water". The firstman put the pot on the stove and turned on the burner. The counselor told him to be an Engineer, because he could solve each problem individually. Thesecond man moved the pot from the floor to the table, and then moved thepot from the table to the stove and turned on the burner. The counselor told him to be a mathematician because he reduced the problem to a previously solved problem.

I am an engineer. I started studying physics/mathematics, but because I thought it was too much 'psychic automatics' I changed to engineering. Never regretted that decision. Insane |
Boil water huh, well the solution is not NEARLY as simple as you would have us think.
First (ALWAYS) you say "Hun, I'm brewing a pot of tea, would you like a cup?" (this is irregardless of gender, and failure will result in the inevitable "WELL, I guess I've got to make my own tea around here!" if the offended is a female, or "What the hell am I, an orphan?" if the offended is male) Second you take the teapot and pour the enclosed water into big mugs with pictures of herbs, or sayings like "the buck stops here", or "If you can't stay young, you can at least stay immature" on them. Third you stick the mugs in the microwave for an amount of time determined by the aforementioned parties, if a time cannot be demacratically arrived at then you'll need to put one cup in for one amount of time, and the other cup in for the other amount of time. Finally you start the microwave and hope that the toaster oven isn't on at the same time, in which case you'll have to go reset the fuse (instructions to be provided on demand).
