Im fighting Kangaxxx and his second form keeps casting imprisonment on all six of my party members. Is there any way to prevent the effects with spells or items or anything?

Just buy a scroll of "protection from Undead" and cast it on your best fighter. Then Kangaxx can't do shit to stop him from kicking the little demi-lich's ass!! HAHAHAHA!!...sorry, got a little carried away there..
Oh and you need +5 weapons or greater to hurt him. Carsomyr is good, the mage spell "melf's minute meteors" is good to. And mace of disruption is great too. Especially if you have upgraded it ;)

I know where to get Carsomyr but where do you get the mace of disruption and how do oyu upgrade it?

In chapter 3, working for the Shadow Thieves, you will find the Mace of Disruption +1 lying in a pool of blood in the vampires home in the tombs beneath the graveyard. ;) </font>

To upgrade the Mace of Disruption, you will need the Mace itself and 200 pounds of Illithium. If you have this, Cromwell will upgrade it for ya, for 10 000 GP. ;) </font>

Don't you need the illithium for the helm quest?

<font color="gold">Yes you do, but you can choose to give 200 pounds of fake Illithium to Sir Sarles, instead of the real one. He will notice that it is fake, though, and refuse to make the staute, which the helmites will only be glad for. ;)
