My 'Lexmark Z65' printer stopped working ever since i accidentally print a zip file from Windows XP, instead of opening it with the right mouse click, my hand slipped and i selected "print". Now my printer stopped responding, i know it's not the driver's nor the printer software's problem cause i tried reinstalling windows but to no avail. Moreover, when i plugged in the printer's power supply, it seems to be busy "trying" to print something even when the usb cable is not connected to the computer. Can it still be fixed or do i need to consider purchasing another printer? Thanks in advance.

<font color=skyblue>The only thing I know about it is that as you said...it was trying to load up the whole big thing, and probably got overstuffed with the size of it in the memory. Have you tried clearing out the print queue and then telling Windows to stop the activity? Maybe something is stuck in memory print queue, where the thing loads up the memory before outputting.

I had that problem sometimes at work</font>

Does cutting the printer's power for a week clear it's memory? Cause i tried that but it did not work. Also i cannot clear the print queue nor tell windows to stop the activity because i, as mentioned before, already reinstalled a fresh new copy of windows XP.

pretty strange.. do you have any other computer in the house so you can test your printer on that computer?
