K, whenever I try and change the backround picture on my mac, the Appearance thing (its what you use to change the backround) quits with an error of either type 3 or 11, and then it says the Finder(!) has unexpectadly quit, and sometimes the comp. freezes after that. I really want to get rid of this bland backround of ours (dull shade of blue [img]tongue.gif[/img] ) but theres no way for me to do it! Help please! [img]smile.gif[/img]

Buy a PC! :D

If you have a rebuild CD of the same OS you are running, try and simple change the two finder files (You are on OS 8 or 9 I guess?)

Sometimes the Finder just seems to be unable to act nicely so try and change the files clean with the ones from the rebuiled CD. (You have two Finder programs in your puter, and you need to boot from a CD to be able to do this.)

Why are you still using your old Mac ? You have a brand new PC, don't you ? Try to sell your Mac, if you can find someone who's interrested in it.

Cuz all my parents' stuff is on there and my mother has the odd feeling that Macs are far superior than PCs. As a gamer my thoughts are clear: Yea, right :D
