Unfortunately, it had to happen sometime. Rest in peace, Bob. You surely made the most of your time.

Just heard on the news

He was a true legend. He will be remembered for many things but the effort he put into entertaining the troops overseas will be foremost in my mind

Happy 100th Birthday Bob!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys come on lighten up, the guy is 100 years old..and despite your not liking his work, Millions did. I especially liked the "road shows".</font>

Fair point MagiK

I was to busy having a prod about Bob being British to take my hat of to his contribution to armed forces overseas. In a time when the entertainment industry is to *cool* to do such things or to *politically correct* to be seen supporting the troops he should be congratulated on his life long commitment to relaxing and unwinding the US forces from WW2 to the gulf war#1.

100 years old. That's quite an achievement in that business.

A respectable age. It had to happen sometime.

:( I remember when I lived in Louisville, KY when I was 12-14 and went to the Hursborne Country club golf tourny, and I met him! That was so cool...

He was a great and funny man, and lived a long, great life. I always watched his Christmas show every year when I was young, too.

Ziroc, that is funny because I have a friend whose brother worked as a bell-hop in an exclusive hotel when he was in college. Bob Hope was staying there when he was in town for a golf tournament. He said that Bob Hope was the nicest, friendliest, most unassuming man you could meet. He said he was so appreciative of anything you did for him. He was a great man.

Hail to Bob Hope, a friend to us all. He was one person I respected a great deal. RIP Bob
