It looks like the 3DO community is finaly dead. Someone checked with the orginazition that conrtol web sites and found that 3DO has pulled their site name.
Gonna miss that site. Lots of good friends there.

Okay, I'll show my ignorance here, just what was 3DO and its community?

3D0 was a great gaming company...they produced the Might and Magic and Heroes of Might and Magic series. Also, Army Men. Apparently, they had quite a fan community, sort of a cult thing, also.

3DO were all about profit. I just hope that some big software company will invest in NWC. They have made and are possibly still able to make some great games. I, for one, would like to see the HOMM and the M&M series continue even though the last 2 (HOMM4 and M&M9) wasn't that good, rushed by 3DO as they were.

3DO ran Might & Magic into the ground.
I shed no tears.

'Tis a sad day...

For those who are still into M&M games, you can link into the community through Flamestryke's page (www.flamestryke.com) and The Erathian Liberation Party (TELP, www.telp.org). The company may be toast, but the spirit lives on...

I do hope that someone can find their way back into it. M&M was my first CRPG, and you never forget your first... :D
