I just learned the last original bug factory in Mexico City is being converting to produce the new Bug. I was suprised to learn it had continued to be manufactured up until this year. Long live the love bug! :D

VW = VolksWagen ;)
A German car company, which IIRC, was taken over by some other car company! [ 07-24-2003, 02:37 AM: Message edited by: GokuZool ] |
Long live the voltage wagon :D I have had many of these ranging from a 68 kombi bus to to 74 super beetle. I also owned a herbie ;) which sadly was rear ended and then slamned into a wall, crushing the front and rear at the same time :( I revived it into a baja bug, since it was cheaper then buying the new fenders and other parts, slapped a type IV 2100 cc engine to it and left bigger faster 4x4's in my ruts :D was a site to see. After 6 years of fun and abuse I had to finally part with the ole car and now drive something with real air conditioning. As for the original question, I have no idea, I should but I dont.
