Can you hit Kangaxx if you equip a character with a bow + 3 with arrows +2 (does the character has +3 + +2 = +5 to hit)?

Is there a freedom scroll in Athkatla?

1) Nope. Won't work...all the bow does is add bonuses to hit. You still need a +4 weapon or greater to hit the demilich.

2) Yes...IF you wait until Chapter 6 and then go talk to Ribald at the Adventure Mart and ask to see his "special wares."

yes and no. I dont think adding the THACO's of bows and the arrows you are firing will count as a combined THACO. Now, you should definitely be able to hit his LICH form with arrows of piercing, and maybe even lesser arrows(+2, acid etc.) But, I was not able to hit his demi-lich form with any arrows, and a buddy of mine who has an elven archer using the heartseeker and special 'aim' ability with an unbelievable -19 THACO said he could not touch his demi-lich form! He is one tough bastard that Kangaxx.

I can hit him (demi-lich form) with Heartseeker's aim ability (hit him only once before the ability wore off) but it lasts only a few seconds. I killed him once with only 2 deaths but this time 2 got imprisoned so I'm going to reload (since I can't wait with killing him till chapter 6. I'm trying to do all quests in the chapter they belong to.).

My weapons are

Sling of Everard with Vhailor's helm for Simulacrum.
Melf's Minute Meteors
Staff of Rynn +4
Heartseeker
(I have no paladin and am not planning to change my party so I can't use Carsomyr)

You must have misread the text window, because a bow's enchantment has nothing to do with the enchantment level needed to hit an enemy. It is all in the arrows. There is only one bow weapon that can hit Kangaxx, and that is the Gesen Bow. This is because it fires +4 enchanted phantom arrows.

Kangaxx can be killed in Chapter 2-3, and it is recommended that you do so, because the loot he drops is very potent.

Last I recall, the enchantment on that weapon is only +2 or +3. The highest enchantment on any weapon in the whole of SoA and ToB, is +6.

And if you have the Item Upgrade Mod - the Teleomortis +4 long bow.

Sorry, it has +9 to damage (can't even touch Kangaxx)
and I've edited my previous post. Better to throw that staff away, you can't do anything with it.

PS. I killed him. The efreeti he summons is very hard (whenever he summoned it I lost).

the efreet you can summon from the genie bottle can hurt the demi lich, its only one or two damage at a time but it counts. you can find the bottle...SPOILER

on the genie guard outside the dao genie tent in trademeet.

the way i killed him was to get keldorn on my team equip him with carsomyr and a prot. from undead scroll, got the lich to follow me to a corner sent the rest of my team to the opposite corner, use the scroll killed him the first time- he comes back in demi-lich form then hit him for 2-3 damage until hes dead.
