"...and I don't know if I did something wrong."

Did you do it yourself?

Dragonshadow 05-30-2003 03:16 PM

No, I went to a specilist...
My dad offered to do it with a pin for free...

Have you been turning your studs every day like you're supposed to? Have you been cleaning them every day like you're supposed to also? If not, one or both of those is your problem. They will be tender for up to 2 weeks while the holes heal (not close, heal). That's why you need to turn the studs every day, so that they don't heal onto the stud.

Yeah, I clean them three or more times a day, and I turn them when I do that and when I'm bored.
So, it could just be normal?

Well, keep in mind, you just punched a hole through your skin, nerves, blood vessles, etc. When you get a normal cut, it's sometimes hurts for a few days doesn't it?
Still, if you're concerned, you can always ask your doctor to look at it. And stay away from your Dad with that pin

That's my advice as well. Is your ear red and swollen? If so you might have an infection. And if you do have an infection I seriously recommend seeing your physician. Otherwise you will live with this pain for a very long time. ;) I know my ears didn't hurt that much when piercing them. It felt strange and uncomfortable but it was not painful. See that's why it's not worth bothering with piercings...don't you have enough hassles in your life?

Mouse 05-30-2003 04:39 PM

I got an ear piercing a looooong time ago. It worked fine. Just remember to turn the stud (I mean the earring ) a couple of times a day and apply a local antiseptic such as TCP or a cream. It should turn out OK.

However, if you suspect you are developing a bad infection or it really pains you, go to a doctor/clinic asap.

Hope this helps.
