Australia's 21-match unbeaten run in One Day Cricket Internationals has at last come to an end in game 5 in the West Indies. The run started last year, as the all conquering Aussies secured the World Series Cup against England and Sri Lanka. These feats were promptly topped by an historic clean sweep of the World Cup in South Africa where Australia retained the title they had one 4 years earlier at Lords. The dominant Aussies have bullied the West Indies over the first 4 games of this 7 match series, and with those dominant displays, were widely tipped to sweep all 7 games.
The following IW members have provided comment :
Lansera : Those smug Aussie gits had it coming to them.
Cloudbringer : Can you explain this cricket thing to me again - I still can't seem to get the hang of it.
Attalus : Me neither
Iron Ranger : Nasty hobbits can keep their nasty cricket - we has precious ice hockey, yes we does
Aelia Jusa : I knew we were in trouble as soon as they scheduled a series with the potential for dead rubbers. I was sure last year that we would sweep the cups because the side had to retain it's focus to win those. Dead rubbers are our achilles heel, so about 3 months ago I started worrying about game 5 of this series.
Lioness : You guys should give over - you know Baseball rules .
Donut : Oh happy days - I knew it would happen one day, and I just thank the lord that I have lived long enough to see it happen. The ole pub is gunna rock tonight.
Davros : Bloody dead rubbers :(
johnny : Have a beer, and cheer up - an Aussie won the tour of Belgium - how usesless are those Belgians :D
