I've got a STRANGE problem here...

I have a habit of chewing my hair...I did that just now and I accidently swallowed my hair...now it's stuck DEEP in my windpipe and I can't take it out of there. I tried EVERYTHING from trying to pick it out by tweezers, wash it down with 7up (can), and I even tried to spit it out! I can't take it out!

I know it's embarassing, but I'm desperate right now. Can anyone help me?

Have you tried going to a doctor?

Er, how much of your hair did you swallow exactly? Was it just a few pieces or like a chunk? If there's ever like a coupple pieces stuck in my throat, usually I can just drink water, and eventually they go down...and if you're trying to pick em out with tweezers, they don't sound like they're very far down there or you'd be making yourself hack

Do you eat rice? A stickiness of the rice will bring the hair that is stuck on your throat down.

bubblegum works too, so does peanutbutter, trust me, i used to do that all the time, i finaly had to cut my hair off so i would quit chewing it, now i just chew my nails and if i really get stressed i chew on my palms...strange i know but it beats swallowing hair, lol

Eating your hair (trichophagia) is usually indicative of some deeper problem. Do your parents have unreasonably high expectations of you?

Hey, thanks for the help.

I did go to A & E, waited there for 3 hours, then the doctor told me the hair I swallowed may have gone down but may have scratched my windpipe in the process, giving me that painful feeling. He gave me a drink of water, then a liquid panadol (kinda like aspirin), then mouth wash. Embarrassing way to waste time really...

Well, you had to know, didn't you?
I used to chew my hair, then my nails, and now I kind of press on the backs of my knuckles, and sometimes they crack and it HURTS.

Dude...Hair and skin have a bacteria found on them that is commonly called "staph". It does not hurt us externally, but if consumed can cause you to throw-up, have the runny poops, or cramps.

Eat healthy foods instead.

You may want to lose this habit.
