The Drydocekd boat in the slums that contains the slavers is giving me nightmares... I have reloaded and reloaded, and have been killed everytime... Ive tried the summon mosters wand, magic missiles, hold persons spells, send a berserk Minsc in with two handed sword, turning druids into bears, slow spells, healing the party halfway through with spells, scrolls and potions.. It uses all me resources and half my entire party still gets killed... I ve been stuck here so long that i havnet turned the game on in months.. until last night....

Breakthrough!! after an evening of redoing the scene over and over, I eventually killed them all, With only the loss of 'Yoshimo'

Id appreciate some advice, I dont care if its in the form of a spoiler, (its alreday spoiled!). But should I redo this scene AGAIN and try to do it without any losses?. Is there something fundamentally wrong with my strategy?? PLEASE HELP.

regards
Gustaff

Greater Malison + Emotion on the left side.

One tank supported by summons on the right side.

Works like a charm.

I think I remember that part...a tougher battle early in the game.
Is that right where you enter from the sewer/copper tunnel? I think it took me 2 gos..but if you're having trouble you may want to get some exp elsewhere and come back.

Yep, its just as you come out of the sewers and into the slavers boat, a mage keeps dispelling all my spells and summons his own skeletons, I will try to come in from the front of the building and see if it makes a diference.. Or I'll go somewhere rest up, get all my spells back and return. Maybe getting rid of the cleric and getting the Angry dwarf might help in this battle, Still have some options to try..

Nightmares? Don't sleep there.

Okay, quick combat guide....
Your Thief, Ranger or Monk Stealths ahead & sees what's up
Your Tanks & Summons keep their Tanks busy
Your Mages disable their Summons and dispel their Mages' protections
Your Archers kill their spellcasters

Bada boom, bada bing bang boom.

I would enter from the street, myself....not good walking out into the middle of a room, being attacked in a pincer formation.

The fight can be won at low level. Main rule: don't disturb too much enemies at once. Therefore:
1. After entering the dungeon, do not leave the entrance area and kill all slavers there.
2. Send one of your guys to awake next slavers. Run back to the entrance and kill those that have followed you.
And so on. Take your guys deeper into the dungeon only if you see that the air is clear. Save often if abilities of your guys are nothing to write home about.
