Hey guys, guess what, Remember how much I love to write poetry?........well I sent the poem "Time" into a contest at poetry.com, and I recived a letter from them saying I am a semi-finalist!!!!!, and also they want to publish the poem.....and the craziest part ofthe news is.....

oh did i mention the Annual grand prize is $10,000 and the monthly grand prize is $1,000??? and thank you this is only the second poem i have enterd, the first was chosen to publish.... :D

After you've read this web page, go to the bottom of the page and do a Company Search of "International Library of Poetry", which is also known as poetry.com, and you will find 27 more reports against this company. I'm not saying whether or not they're trying to scam you, but please be careful before you commit any money to them.

I hate to say it but my first thought was that it was a scam. They'll be asking for money soon - don't send them any!

My husband and I have checked every word on the paper, and it states that publishing is free, if I choose yo buy the book,then I can buy from them, or wait til it comes out in stores. The last time I sent in a poem, it was only accepted to be published, and they never asked me for money.....yet. but of course I did not respond to the letters, You guys are great [img]smile.gif[/img] I never even thought about checking out the company...but so far everyone whom I have spoken with that is a member of the site, has stated that not all of theirs are acceptd, but perhaps, I should come out of the clouds and pay more attention [img]smile.gif[/img]
