I am looking for commands for WinXP. Some of the ones that I already know are as follows:

calc = Calculator
regedit = registry edit
dxdiag = Direct X diagnostics

Well the most extensive list I know of is to check C:\Windows\System32. ;)

LOL if you want a complete list you have to make a list of every .exe file on your hard disk Run command just runs a .exe file. If you want all the ones that you can run without a path then look in your windows and windows/system32 directories - all the exe's in there are the ones you can run with the run command with no path. You will find regedit.exe and the things you listed in one of those two directories. You can also run msc files.

A few useful ones ( I have windows 2000 so they should mostly be the same on XP)
In run type:

diskmgmt.msc ( a partition management util.)
cdplayer
charmap
clipbrd
cmd (command prompt)
eventvwr (event viewer)

to find them all open windows and windows/system32, click View-> arrange icons by type and view->list.

I use msconfig alot, so I can limit which programs automatically load when I boot up.

You don't get msconfig in W2k or IIRC WXP either. Personally I just edit the registry...under LOCAL_MACHINE..SOFTWARE...MICROSOFT...WINDOWS...CU RRENTVERSION...RUN (easy to remember cos it's logical)
just add or delete programs you want to run at startup W2k/XP users.

Oh yeah Larry we love you too brother hehe :D

Yeah VEEERY easy. Or you simply use a 3rd party registry editor. ;) Simpler and as efficient.
