ok i seen many do it many ppl posting pictures of cats and other stuff...how do i get my pic up on a new topic im gonna make?

/)eathKiller 04-15-2003 11:20 AM

first the picturee has to have a URL like

http://members.lycos.co.uk/something.gif or .jpg or .png or something...

anyway

then you put the full adress of the image in between [img] and [/img] without any spaces... that's all... to get an image's url right click it and look at it's properties in your browser.

you need to have the full URL to the picture.

www.site.com\picture.jpg

and you need to leave no spaces between the tags and the URL.

Best way is to press quote, if someone has done something you liked. Font coulor or such. It will show you how it is done. Like andrewas says get the spacing right... [IMG]http.....blah[IMG] and the case right, practice away by editing your post as many times as you want, till you get it right. No one will notice [img]graemlins/heee.gif[/img]

You need to upload the picture onto the internet. FOr that you need some webspace. Probably you got some from your ISP, or you could sign up with lycos like /)eathkiller suggested. Anyway, once you get your picture uploaded, it will have a URL. Find out what it is, and post it on the forum between [IMG][/IMG] tags. No spaces.

there aren't any actual "easy and free" image hosts any more outside of auction sites, so if you want it hosted you might want to sign up for a website with tripod.lycos.co.uk to host it
