Well I just play it single player... and my poor old computer slows so much down in big battles that it's almost impossible to control...

I used to play warcraft 3 single player only. the game didn't have much to offer. the ending was very puzzling.

Medivh (the prophet) convinced Tyrande, Furion, Jaina and Thrall to work together (Human, Orcs, and Night Elves) in preventing Achimonde from reaching the tree of life. When you hold him off for 40 minutes IIRC, there is a cutscene that sees Achimonde being obliterated by the "ancients" that have been called by Furion. The tree/well of life is/are blown up in process, and the world is saved (for now) but the Night Elves have lost the immortality.

There. Hopefully the coming expansion will help answer some gaps in the story...

And Warcraft 3 was made for multiplayer, not singleplayer.

Just like Starcraft, and Diablo 2. These games will never have been popular without Battle.Net really...

that's what I say very puzzling, I mean why does the world is saved when the tree of life is destroyed. All the races tried so hard to save the tree. which mean if the tree is destroyed then the world is doom as well. but apparently not.

There was this one dude that needed them 45 (?) mins to do something... important. Don't remember who or what...
And just to not wander waay off the topic. I too played WarCreaft 3, only singleplayer, a while back.

I'll happily play anyone with my average to good skills. ;)

I'm Craig_the_fi on Europe, but I occasionally make appearances on the Us servers, if there's someone to play.

I think the tree of life only gave immortality to the night elves. It didn't preserve the life of evrything on the world, as it was only the night elves who so rigourously protected it. I completed it a little while back, so that's what I think happened...

My dad took it with him (along with MY Christmas present Age of Mythology) when he moved.
